Training and Learning Courses provided by Local Councils
Local Councils are the primary social focus of our owns and villages. Residents routinely seek services, information, and support from them and their elected representatives.
Training and learning are important processes in life for one to become aware of an ever-changing world where knowledge and skills can lead to new social trends and better career opportunities.
Local Councils across Malta and Gozo regularly offer various courses that help streamline one’s ambitions in life and serve as a source of enrichment to many others. The courses vary from IT training and learning, computer efficacy, Internet use, educational themes, and physical exercises such as aerobics, Pilates, Zumba and line-dancing to courses in traditional crafts such as ganutell, lace-making, and crochet.
Courses that form part of the Lifelong Learning initiative cover Maltese and English literacy, basic Maths, and for foreigners, Maltese as a foreign language, and spoken Maltese. Local Councils have also organised courses in German, French, Spanish and Italian.
