Geography

​The village of L-Għarb is a small village in the West of Gozo with an area of 14.3 km sq. L-Għarb borders with Kerċem, San Lawrenz and L-Għasri. A large part of the village is rural and another part is by the sea. In fact there are many farmers in L-Għarb and also a number of people with fishing as their pastime. The village of L-Għarb is known for the Sanctuary of Our Lady of ta’ Pinu, Frenċ ta’ l-Għarb, Karmni Grima, the Basilica and Parish Church dedicated to the Visitation, the Chapels of Taż-Żejt and San Dimitri as well as the crafts village of Dbiegi.
